Service Technician Job Description

Cramer Service Technician

At Cramer Siding & Window, we rely on our Service Technician to diagnose and repair a host of our products offered including: Roofing, Siding, Guttering, Windows, Doors among other home improvement products we offer. The highest qualified individuals will have installation experience among a host of these products as well as experience and understanding in the home improvement industry as a whole. They know how to communicate positively with homeowners to provide the best resolution possible and be robust problem solvers when it comes to home improvement products.

Objectives of this Role

  • Travel to customer locations and perform routine service, maintenance and repair
  • Routinely measure for needed components to complete assigned services
  • Communicate with service coordinator and homeowners regarding products and services needed
  • Be able to identify, document and repair issues within a wide range of home improvement products and services
  • Create required materials list and other documentation to solve issues
  • Be able to install and service a wide range of home improvement products
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems and work with vendors to resolve warranty related issues
  • Communicate with internal staff and customers to quickly resolve issues

Skills and Qualifications

  • Driver’s license required
  • Previous experience in home improvement
  • Must familiarize yourself with our product lines to ensure accurate material ordering
  • Must be able to read a tape measure and be responsible for company property
  • A self starter and problem solver who likes variety and challenge
  • Ability to work independently
  • Be physically able to lift and install large items
  • Be able to understand and follow all government regulations required of home improvers
